We suggest that students take one subtest per day. The test includes reading, language, and math subtests. TABE stands for Test of Adult Basic Education. Students who are applying to occupational and technical programs must provide scores from the TABE exam, in accordance with the Florida Department of Education’s minimum basic skills requirements. The TABE is a broad achievement test that measures basic skills in Reading, Language, Spelling, and Mathematics. TABE tests are used in a variety of adult education settings, including adult basic education classes, adult secondary education ( GED preparation), and English literacy (EL) programs run by local organizations and educational agencies, community colleges, correctional institutions, and volunteer literacy programs.
